Jan’s career was in sales, sales management, and sales technology (CRM) for Fortune 500 and Big 5 firms. She managed a national selling-skills program for partners and senior consultants at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and was project leader for sales and CRM projects. Then she started her own business, using what she learned in her corporate career and what she’s developed from her successes. She has set up her business so she can manage it from anywhere. She has a tremendous virtual team of people who work with her, so that Jan focuses her time on what matters most and what she does well about 85% of the time. She leaves the rest to people who do the other things best.
That’s meant that when her mother’s health was not good, Jan went to Colorado and spent several months at a time there, until things were better. She continued her business while she was there. Her mother is 92 and lives in Boulder, Colorado. She’s doing very well now.
